19th June 2014. Éamonn Flynn of Túslá - the Child & Family Agency, came to visit us. He presented certificates to children who were present every day of this term from Easter to June. He presented a second set of certificates to 12 children who did not miss a day since September last. This was a great achievement. Finally, he presented a very special certificate to one student who has not missed a day from Junior Infants through to 6th class. That is eight years of unbroken attendance!!! Fantastic achievement!!!
Damien Tiernan, R.T.E.'s South East correspondent came to visit us when he heard how good our pupils are at attending school. He presented certificates and congratulated the pupils. We were delighted to meet him and are very proud of our certificates.
Good school attendance is very important. We present certificates at the end of every term to all those children who are present every day of the term. It has really improved our awareness of good attendance. The Mayor of County Waterford, Cllr. Damien Geoghegan came to present our certificates when he heard how good the children were at coming to school every day. These are our certificates for Hallowe'en. Well done, everybody.
