BREAKING NEWS: We have been awarded our SEVENTH Green Flag "Global Citizenship: Energy"!
Our Green Code is: The planet needs you to care and to be aware. Saving energy is a must or else the world will go bust!
As the sun shone this week (May 11th, 2020) we received the wonderful news that we were successful in our application for our 7th Green School Flag. Our Green Schools Committee has worked tirelessly over the past two years and we thank them for their efforts. We also thank the whole school community who got behind and supported our endeavour. This is a huge accomplishment for our school to achieve our 7th Flag. There are nine green flags in total that a school can achieve and we are very proud of each and every flag we have earned.
We enjoyed learning about how to save energy, how we can all slow down climate change and the benefits of buying fair trade products.
We also enjoyed our “Walk to School week” and our “Scoot on Wednesdays”. On these days we walked/scooted to school on our beautiful greenway with our families. We love being active in our school and it certainly gets us ready for a fun day ahead!
We will receive our new Green Flag when we go back to school. We look forward to raising this new Green Flag when appropriate and celebrating our achievement. Well done to all our pupils in Kilmacthomas Primary School!

Our Energy Action day with PedalCents - November 19th 2019
Energy was created when the bike was cycled and that made the drum spin. We put our page into the drum and squirted so much paint on top of our page. It was so much fun!
