Bike Day - Senior Infants
Bike Day - Junior Infants!!!
Bike Week is back! Kilmacthomas Primary School celebrated Bike Day on Wednesday, June 18th. We had such a good time last year we wanted to repeat the experience. Dónal Jacob was back with his bike workshop. We brought our bikes to school to improve our cycling skills. D.J. Tyrone was here to add to the fun and games on the day. We had fun art competitions. We met up at 8.50 a.m. at the Rainbow Hall. We walked with our bikes to the school.
Bike Day - Ms. Keane's Class
What a great day we had!! The sun shone and shone and shone. We learned about bike safety during a workshop with Dónal Jacob. We danced and did team games with D.J. Tyrone. We did projects on international bike races including the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia. We did bike related art work. We won prizes. In other words, we had a wonderful day - a day to remember.
Bike Week 2013
National Bike Week 2013 takes place from Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd June 2013. Here in Co. Waterford this week long celebration of all things bike related is being jointly coordinated by Waterford County Council, Waterford Sports Partnership and Go Dungarvan. There are also 13 schools and community groups from all around the county who are directly involved in the organisation of events which make up the programme.
We are delighted that Kilmacthomas Primary School is one of the participating schools. June 19th was our Bike Fun Day.
As Bike Day took place on a WOW day (Walk on Wednesday), children were welcome to walk their bikes, with their parents, from the Rainbow Hall to the school as per the usual procedure.
